Kayal was born out of a desire to bridge the gap between the rich heritage of Tamil culture and the modern world. I, Adhirai, grew up feeling a deep connection to my roots but noticed a lack of representation in the global market. Driven by a passion for authenticity and a desire to create a sense of belonging, I'm on a journey to bring Tamil culture to the forefront through thoughtfully designed products and transformative coaching services.

Hello and welcome! I'm Adhirai, the founder of Kayal. My journey to this point has been one of discovery, growth, and a deepening connection to my Tamil heritage. Growing up as a person of colour in a predominantly different culture, I often felt torn between two worlds. This feeling of displacement led me on a quest to rediscover my roots and embrace my authentic self.

My Passion:
My passion for Tamil culture and my desire to create spaces where others can feel a sense of belonging have been the driving forces behind Kayal. I believe in the power of storytelling to heal, inspire, and connect us, and I'm dedicated to sharing the stories of resilience, courage, and hope that have shaped my life and the lives of many others.

My Vision:
Through Kayal, I aim to celebrate the rich tapestry of Tamil culture, empower individuals to embrace their true selves and create a community where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued. My dream is to inspire personal growth and positive change in the world, one story at a time.

Fun Facts About Me:

  • I'm living my childhood dreams being surrounded by books in my home library, it's not Belle's library (yet!) but I'm loving cozy nights reading a good book!
  • I love girl's weekends with my akkas eating yummy Tamil food, singing, laughing and enjoying tamil movies together!
  • I have a quite the collection of elephant figurines from my travels and different milestones in my life, each with its own unique story.
